Transportation Department Overview
-
It is the mission of the Danville Transportation Department to provide students and staff the safest and most reliable means of transportation available. We support that mission by providing ongoing training to ensure our drivers are knowledgeable and compliant with the most current laws, regulations, and professional practices. Danville maintains all vehicles on a strict maintenance schedule; replacing obsolete and/or outdated vehicles and communicating regularly with the staff and community leaders on recommended changes to meet the needs of the Corporation.
Drivers and aides operate the route buses and special education buses that travel over 1,300 miles a day. To insure safety, all Danville school buses are equipped with radios and cameras. For questions regarding your child's bus route or driver, please call the Transportation Department.
