    How do I find out what bus my child rides?
    For questions regarding your child's bus route or driver, please call the Transportation Department at 745-6875. 
    Prior to the start of each school year, bus drivers will contact parents to provide bus number and pick up time.
     
    What is the process for volunteering at my child’s school?

    What kind of technology is available to my child at Danville Community Schools?
    Danville Community School Corporation offers a wide variety of technology including a 1-1 program at the High School and close to a 1-2 program at other buildings.

    What kinds of clubs, sports, and extracurricular activities are available for my child participate in?
    Danville offers a wide range of IHSAA approved sports and is competitive on the local and state level. Visit our Activities page for clubs and extracurricular information or our Athletics page at the appropriate building for more information on sports. You can also visit our Community page for local community organizations.

    Where can I find information about closings/delays? How will I be notified?
    In the event of school cancellations, delays or early dismissals our telephone broadcast system will be used to broadcast a message to all home phone numbers we have on file for parents / guardians. In addition, we will continue to report closings and delays on our online calendar and the following radio and television stations: WZPL-FM 99.5, 107.9 The Track, WCBK 102.3, WRTV Channel 6, WISH TV Channel 8, WTHR Channel 13, and WXIN Channel 59. For more urgent matters or time-sensitive matters, such as an early dismissal, we may call home and cell numbers. When you verify your child’s demographic information each year, please make sure to provide accurate phone numbers to your child’s school.
     
    To enhance communication between parents/guardians and the district, the Danville Community School Corporation utilizes a telephone broadcast system. The system enables school personnel to notify all parents / guardians by phone within minutes of an emergency or unplanned event that causes a school cancellation, delay or early dismissal. It also notifies the parents/guardians of low balances in their child’s lunch account and from time-to-time to communicate general announcements or reminders.
     
    How many students attend Danville Community School Corporation?
    Danville has a stable student population of approximately 2,500 students in grades KG through 12.
     
    What grade did Danville Community School Corporation earn from the State Board of Education?
    The Danville Community School Corporation is proud to be recognized as an “A” school district. Danville is also unique in that all of our buildings also received an “A” grade from the State of Indiana.
     
    Does Danville offer an after school or before school program?
    Yes, the Danville PACE program offers services from 6:00 am - 6:00 pm. South Elementary morning care includes grades KG - 6; afternoon care grades include 3 - 6. North Elementary offers afternoon only services for grades KG - 2. For more information please see our PACE page or contact North Elementary or South Elementary.
