DCSC Summer Meal Program

    Danville schools will be participating in the Summer Food Service Program but will be going back to pre-pandemic meal type serving.  Grab-and-go bulk meals are NOT available this year and meals must be consumed on site.  Breakfast and lunch meals will be served from Danville South Elementary School at 1375 West Lincoln St. Danville, IN 46122.  Menus will be posted to the district website.  Children do not have to attend Danville schools to participate in the program.  See below for more information.  Adult meals will be available for purchase for $4.60.  Cash or account only.
     
    Summer Meal Program Information
     
    To locate food resources during summer months, families should text “summer meals” to (914) 342-7744 or a question that may contain a keyword such as “summer,” “summermeals,” or “verano” (for Spanish). 
     

    Also, it is important to note that the USDA National Hunger Hotline number is available. Individuals can still call 1-866-3-HUNGRY or 1-877-8-HAMBRE to speak with a representative who will find food resources such as meal sites, food banks, and other nearby social services
