The Warrior Way to Success Starts Here...

Danville Community Schools engaged in a comprehensive, five-phase strategic planning process to strengthen our district’s vision and goals. Through community forums, site-based input sessions, and a collaborative design model, we brought together educators, students, families, and local employers to ensure many voices helped shape our future.

At the heart of this work is our Portrait of a Learner: a shared commitment that defines the six essential skills every Danville student should possess upon graduation (Communication, Problem Solving, Organization, Adaptability, Collaboration, and Initiative). Co-designed by our community, the Portrait serves as both our foundation and our compass, guiding decisions, priorities, and actions across the district.

This strategic plan ensures the Portrait of a Learner is not just a vision statement, but the center of everything we do, so every Danville student is prepared to succeed in school, work, and life.
