District Strategic Plan Goals

Teaching & Learning
Purpose of the Tactic: To create and maintain a unified and aligned approach to teaching and learning that ensures high-quality instruction, supports continuous improvement, and advances equitable outcomes for every student.
- Priority 1: Integrate the Portrait of a Learner (POL) into District Culture
- Priority 2: Ensure all students in the class of 2029 are prepared to meet either the Enrollment, Employment, or Enlistment seals.
- Priority 3: Strengthen Tier 1 instruction and identify, align, and implement Tier 2 best practices in MTSS.
Culture & Climate
Purpose of the Tactic: To cultivate a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where students, staff, and families feel valued, connected, and empowered to thrive. Through intentional practices that promote belonging, well-being, and mutual respect, we will strengthen relationships, foster engagement, and build a culture that reflects our shared commitment to excellence and equity.
- Priority 1: Strengthen language access and cultural belonging for multilingual students and families
Finance & Operations
Purpose of the Tactic: To ensure the long-term financial stability and operational efficiency of the district through proactive growth management, responsible fiscal stewardship, and strategic resource allocation that directly supports the goals of teaching, learning, and equity for all students.
- Priority 1: Growth Management - Facilities, demographics, transportation, operations, and personnel
- Priority 2: Maintain the current tax rate in debt service and increase it as necessary to meet minimum levy requirements
- Priority 3: Maintain balanced budgets in the education and operations funds.
Community Engagement
Purpose of the Tactic: To build robust and reciprocal partnerships with families, local governance entities, and the broader community to foster mutual understanding, align resources, and generate unified advocacy for student success and the district's strategic priorities.
- Priority 1: Convene meetings of overlapping taxing units
- Priority 2: Educating the greater school community about changes in educational support to increase advocacy
Leadership
Purpose of the Tactic: To optimize district-wide operational performance by systematically researching and adopting innovative efficiency models, ensuring maximum resource utilization and streamlining processes to dedicate more time and resources directly to teaching and learning.
