Recently Completed Projects

North Elementary Renovations

Throughout 2021 and 2022, Danville Community School Corporation made a series of upgrades to North Elementary School (DNE), which houses the district's kindergarten through second-grade students, along with students from the Little Warrior Learning Center and students in the developmental preschool program. The project's scope included window replacement, LED lighting, ceiling grids, carpet, wall coverings, and mechanical systems upgrades, among other items. Most importantly, the project also included the installation of a secure vestibule to provide safe building entry and the addition of a multipurpose room to be used for childcare, group instruction, cafeteria overflow, and staff training.

South Elementary

We are thrilled to share that, as of August 2025, construction at South Elementary is officially complete! Over the past few years, our team has worked tirelessly to ensure every detail was built with care and quality. Now, we’re ready to welcome students into a building that offers more opportunities for learning, creativity, and growth than ever before.

Here’s what’s new and improved at South:

  • New behavior support room

  • New front office and main entrance

DCHS Bus Lot

While it might seem like a smaller project compared to our larger renovations, the new DCHS bus lot is a game-changer for our school! Completed in the summer of 2024 and in use ever since, this dedicated space separates buses from student, staff, and visitor parking areas, dramatically improving traffic flow and enhancing safety during arrival and dismissal. This thoughtful upgrade is making a big impact on our daily operations and ensuring a smoother experience for everyone!

DCHS Athletic Office

Danville Community High School is buzzing with transformation, with nearly every corner under construction in some way, shape, or form! Beginning during the 2023-2024 school year, work has been underway in the hallways, cafeteria, new classroom wing, and beyond. One of the first exciting projects to be completed was our brand-new athletic office, strategically located at the athletic entrance. This impressive space now houses our athletic director, assistant athletic director, and athletic secretary and includes a conference room and a great space for athletic photos, perfect for capturing moments like signings and awards. We can’t wait to see the rest of these amazing renovations come to life!

DCHS Front Entrance and Classroom Wing

As we kick off the 2025–2026 school year, we’re excited to share that several major projects at Danville Community High School are officially complete!

These new spaces are designed to provide enhanced tools and resources to support student success. We can’t wait to see them filled with learning, growth, and connection — and we look forward to the additional updates still to come!

DCHS Pool

Our swimmers are diving into the 2025–26 season with a brand-new pool! The expanded space features upgraded technology and equipment, plus a high dive—something we’ve never had before. A new movable divider also allows diving and swimming to happen at the same time, giving our teams even more flexibility as they train and compete.
